MingJong M6637U Robotic Webcams To Take Over World One Desk At A Time

A Taiwanese company known as MingJong has released some colorful robotic UVC compliant USB 2.0 webcams called ‘M6637U’ that sport 1.3-megapixels.

These little guys have the right idea. If you want to take over the world, you have to appeal to those lovers of cute and colorful desk accessories. Put a bunch together and they are clearly interacting, comparing notes for our eventual assimilation. Then when a human comes back into the room they all freeze. There’s not a whole lot of info on these guys, but be weary. Never turn your back on one.

Nokia’s Jeppe Web-Controlled Videoconferencing Bot

If you like talking to what amounts to a happy robot skull, the folks at the Nokia Research Center’s Smart Spaces lab are actually intending this design concept for home use. It will be controllable via the Web with an app for Nokia’s Linux internet tablets, and it conferences using Google Talk. Check out the video below as some people try to act naturally around this thing, even though they know that it will surely kill them one day when they least suspect it. The happy looking ones are always the most dangerous.
