Created by Nick Greenlee, this short Visual Effects piece shows us the real war that’s waged with Mac vs PC. Robots beating the crap out of each other. Great little video.
You’ve gotta get up bright and early to fight the Decepticons, so Optimus Prime is here to act as your drill sergeant and get your ass out of the rack soldier.
This clock projects the Autobots shield onto your ceiling and he even says three of his Transformer phrases- ‘Autobots transform and roll out’, ‘This is Optimus Prime, do you read me?’, ‘It’s time to stomp some Decepticons’.
£24.99 in the UK. Looks like it isn’t available in the US yet.
Optimus Prime looks pretty badass even in fonts. No doubt they named this Optima Prime for copyright reasons. This t-shirt will run you $14 should you like to transform fonts.
Though they don’t transform, we really like Hasbro’s Mighty Muggs versions of these robots. You can get a set of 4 individually packaged figs for $49.99
I’m not familiar with the comedy team of Merrick and Rosso. Probably because I’m not from Australia. So I have no idea what their comedy history is, but what they have done here is kinda amusing. Almost Transformers: appliances that talk in a Australian accent.
Dyson makes a mean vacuum, but it turns out that the vacuum actually makes a pretty awesome robot as well. Artists contributing to Worth1000.com’s “Rejected Transformers 6″ contest created some Transformer-like bots out of unlikely things, including shopping carts, pots and pans, hi-fi sound equipment, wood and more. Good stuff. Hit the link for more.
Check out the work of Swiss/French artist Guillaume Reymond. His new art installation: a “real life” Transformer robot made using a dozen or so cars and trucks. Why didn’t we think of that? Quick! To the parking lot!
In the world of competitive barbecue, the team that calls itself Transformer BBQ has an interesting logo. Let’s hope this isn’t a sign of things to come with the new movie.
