Tomy i-SOBOT robot reduced to $99.95

The world’s smallest toy robot just got a price cut. Originally priced at $300 when the 6.5-inch tall robot launched late last year, Hammacher Schlemmer currently has him listed at just $99.95. You’ll get 17 points of articulation, 180 pre-programmed movements and voice-control from ten different verbal prompts. The dual-joystick remote allows for direct control. Gyroscopes will keep i-SOBOT upright or, help him dance like a dancing fool.

Tomy Unveils 1:24 Scale Nissan GT-R Transformer

Tomy unveils the official 1:24 scale Nissan GT-R Transformer in red or silver colors. No word yet on pricing and availability. Color us not very impressed. Just seems like it could be cooler and When in its alt-car-mode, the ‘bot has a few oddly placed seams.

New R/C R2-D2 Action Figure Is Transparent

Tomy has released an updated transparent plastic version of their popular radio-controlled R2-D2 mini action figure.

With the mini-lightsaber remote, R2-D2 will move forward or turn on command, rotate his dome as he rolls, beep and whistle, and illuminate his photoreceptor “eye”. R2-D2 measures approximately 2.5 inches tall, and includes batteries for the remote and the droid himself. What makes this one extra special is the transparent plastic of both the figure and the remote control, showing the inner workings…

But what I really need is a droid that understands Bocchi for my moisture evaporators.
