Terminator: T-1001 Comes Out Of A Urinal

October 6th, 2008 by Conner Flynn

Try as we might, we don’t have many good things to say about Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. This scene is one of the few bright spots in an otherwise silly show.

Dalek Shoes Exterminate With Extreme Funk

September 29th, 2008 by Conner Flynn

Any fan of Doctor Who is going to want a pair of these awesome Dalek shoes. They even have an electric colored EXTERMINATE on each heel. Handpainted Daleks on shoes screams geek.

They were created by kelly_bear, who originally wanted a Dalek on one shoe and a Cyberman on the other shoe, so they could reenact an epic battle. Turns out it was too hard to paint a Cyberman , so she decided that both should have a Dalek. Awesome stuff.

Artist Creates Steampunk Wooden RobotsHe also created a time machine and space suit, oh and a wooden Ark of the Covenant. Michael T. Rea is a one of a kind artist that creates all kinds of stuff. Even multi barrel ray guns and wooden mecha war-suits. His materials include wood, burlap, and rope, and the end result are life-sized versions science fiction objects.

Are they metal and full of circuitry and wires? No. But they do make the imagination soar.

Project Dalek: For All Your Dalek Needs

June 21st, 2008 by Conner Flynn

Exterminate!
How do you keep a geek busy? Project Dalek of course. In case you don’t know for some reason, Daleks are robots from Doctor Who.

At Project Dalek, Dr. Who fans can check out the Dalek Project. See Daleks of all kinds, learn how to build your own, and network with other Dalek fans. I guess it’s kind of a myspace for awkward geeks with a passion for the retro robots.

We like Daleks, here at Project Dalek. We like them a lot. We want more Daleks in this world. We don’t really care what size they are - scale models or full-size Daleks. We don’t care if they are ‘real’ or CG renders. So long as they are Daleks we are happy.

Are you ready to take the plunge and create a Dalek of your very own? If so, Project Dalek is the place for you. Project Dalek is the home of the ‘Dalek Builder’s Workshop Manual’, the Dalek builder’s bible. It contains everything you need to know about how to construct a full size Dalek of your very own.

We also have Dalek plans for every major Dalek variant. These are free to download, once you have become part of the Project.
