Nils Volker’s Drawing robot was cool, but his Lightdrawing Robot takes things a step further, painting beautiful images with LEDs and long exposures. As you can see by the image above, this approach can deliver some festive holiday art.

This Lego Mindstorms NXT drawing robot does it’s thing while hung from three pulleys. It tracks visitor’s eye movements to create dot paintings. The robot was built by the artist for the exhibition “Makers & Spectators” at the MU in Eindhoven by Christien Meindertsma.
