Quadrocopter Equipped With A Camera, Maybe Weapons
January 20th, 2010

The NicoletoMK Mikrokopter Quadrocopter robot, Quadrocopter for short, is a pretty cool piece of tech. Having a total of 8 blades, 2 on each wing, the quadrocopter has enough lift to raise itself and a 1.1 lb. camcorder. As shown in the video below, it is also controlled by a professional remote, but it can be programed to move around on a route that you programmed into the thing prior to the flight too.

Now if you don’t want your neighbor smashing up your expensive toy, then you better be using it for something good. Generally speaking, it is expensive, but for something with this amount of tech on it, it is relatively a good price. This robot can be used to do a few things. In an art sense, it can give videographers a chance to explore the world by air. The Quadrocopter can be used as a safety gadget too. By programming a tracking gps map into it, it can track a car if needed. For example, if your daughter said she was going to a “study party” then you just program the little buddy and off they go. WowWee Spyball Spy Camera
January 7th, 2009

Like the Rovio, the WowWee Spyball spy camera will let you live out some James Bond fantasies. Or at the very least snap some upskirt pics. The tiny remote controlled robotic ball features built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and gets around on sleek wheels, capable of smooth mobility and quick 360-degree turns.

It can also transform from a ball to a camera and back within seconds, and it does it’s job quietly, so you can sneak around and get some dirt on people. The blackmail will follow. Another cool feature is that when it’s connected to a home network, the Spyball can be controlled remotely via the Internet.

I love it’s menacing death star type look. It looks like it has just spotted you and is about to take you out with a laser.

Dalek Hidden Camera For Spying On Time Lords & Cybermen
June 24th, 2008

If you’re a fan of Doctor Who, you’ve no doubt wanted to have a Dalek do your spying for you. Wil Harris of ChannelFlip got to play with the Dalek security cam that does just that. It was built by a “top secret London security firm” for an “anonymous client.” The camera can transmit high quality streaming video to a flat panel-equipped base station 300 feet away, where it is recorded to a hard drive for playback. Harris estimates that the build cost is in excess of $1,500.
