These videos show Surena 2 walking at a slow pace, standing on one leg, and even bowing. Aghil Yousefi-Koma, a professor of engineering at the University of Tehran who lead the Surena project, says that the goal is to explore “both theoretical and experimental aspects of bipedal locomotion.”

You know, Honda has been there and done this.
Wouldn’t it be great if some company designed the one robot and then everyone else designed software to get it to do a particular skill?
Then we’d have no one wasting their time repeating what another company has already done?
In no time, we’d have a single robot that could walk, run, grab objects and see rather than 4 or 5 all just doing the one skill as we do at present.
