South Koreans have been waiting patiently for the robots, who will be teaching their children, to come on public exhibit. At the R&D Exhibition of 2010, Children and their parents got to enjoy and understand the new teacher robots first hand. Specifically at the R&D Exhibition, located at COEX in Seoul, South Korea, 5 robots that we know about were on display.
From left to right in the picture above, we have Yugin Robot’s iRobi Q, which reads books to children. Then we have KIST’s Sil-bot, which is modified for telepresence teaching, then the bartender/waiter robot, Yujin Robot’s Cafero. In the far distance we have the orange Sil-Bot that plays games and even further in the background we have KIST’s famous FR-i robot that verbally teaches students. In the front there are 2 simple robots, in which both just interact with kids.
