Archie looks crude, but he’s a pretty sophisticated creepoid robot from researchers at the Vienna University of Technology in concert with the University of Manitoba. Archie was designed to assist humans with routine tasks like cleaning, playing games and cooking. (They’ll need to replace that face unless they want to find shivering humans on the floor in the fetal position.)
They hope that one day Archie will be available to the public. The price tag is 15,000 Euros or $21,082. Yes, replace that face. And that hat makes things worse.
