PROTO is Nick Pittom’s first film. This 15 minute sci-fi short was actually shot at a real robotics lab in Denmark. It stars a computer-animated humanoid robot that looks like it could be every bit as lovable as Wall-E. PROTO seems to be developing a mind of his own and it puts the researchers at odds.
Is it a good thing or a bad thing when you lose control of a robot and it starts doing what it wants to do? Either way, PROTO clearly has potential. Now I need to know how this all ends. PROTO’s love interest in the short is pretty beautiful for an animated robot. I hope he gets the girl in the end.
