This is one baby that I don’t care to babysit anytime soon. And neither should you. You may not survive the experience. Osaka University’s Affetto baby now has a torso and a pair of arms. It moves just like a real baby. In fact, it is pretty unnerving.
You know how babies hit themselves by accident sometimes? Yeah, it even does that. This baby robot has about 20 pneumatic actuators that provide the movement. Even though the face does nothing right now, I’m sure that in time they will sync it up with the body and make us all have horrible nightmares.
Beware the baby robots from Osaka.
