Shimi, The Robot DJ

Shimi is a robot invented by Georgia Tech’s Gil Weinberg. Basically what we have here is a robotic DJ. The robot has a built in Android phone dock and uses music and apps on the phone to dance to the beat and tap it’s…”foot”. Shimi can even follow you around the room by tracking you with it’s head. I’m sure that more apps will be available for this guy real soon.

Weinberg hopes to make this bot available to consumers by Christmas of 2013. Hopefully it happens as planned and they rack up some nice sales. It’s a cute music dock if nothing else.
