Tsutenkaku Robo: 5.6 Foot Walking Tower Robot
December 30th, 2009

Several companies in Osaka are teaming up to build a 5.6 foot tall bipedal robot that looks like its well-known landmark Tsutenkaku tower. They have of course dubbed it the Tsutenkaku Robo, which will be completed in 2010. The idea is to promote Osaka city and it’s businesses. Sure it won’t be very tall, but after watching the video below, I’m convinced this is just a trial run as they prepare for giant versions.
