SBS Announces New Robot TV Show in 2011
December 18th, 2009

sbs robotSBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) located in South Korea, decided to create and broadcast a new television show starring a genuine, intelligent a.i. robot. The robot picture above shows that they will be using real robots in this household based drama, rather than doing animation or costumes. KAIST’s HUBO 2 (the robot) will be the first starring robot in a tv show. Of course the problem is that audiences may expect all robots to have intelligent dialect, just as the television show suggests, but most likely the robot will be voiced by a human.

Now, SBS is expecting the show to first broadcast in Seoul in 2011. since the idea has been established and published, other broadcasting stations are bound to make up their own robot-based drama or comedy, perhaps even before then.
