Remo Humanoid Robot Kit
December 28th, 2009

Here’s a new robot kit that’s pricey, but you get a lot for your money. It’s called Remo (Short for Remote Brain). The robot uses a custom CPU that communicates with a remote PC via Bluetooth. This helps things like image processing to run faster, and not take up any additional memory.

It will cost about $4,358 and for that price you get stereo color CCD cameras for image processing and pressure sensors in the feet for balance control thrown in. The robot can be powered using LiPo batteries and an AC adapter and comes with a unique face plate which gives it some character.
