Guangzhou in southern China is hosting a “Cross-Century Robot Fair” where exhibits of educational and entertaining robots do their jam. The ones who are really doing there jam are the CRB musician robots. The band includes a keyboardist, guitarist, drummer, and a horn player. They look pretty cool on stage, but i wouldn’t want to make them do a concert. Their instruments aren’t real for one. The guitar has no strings, the keyboard.. isn’t a keyboard. The only genuine thing on stage might just be the speakers.

Besides the CRB band, there are other exhibits of famous robots around the fair too, including Kokoro Co. Ltd.’s Actroid and a 3 meter tall, 850kg yeti. If you happened to be going to China for New Years, then be sure to visit Guangzhou. You only have until January 17th, 2010.
