When Robots Dance, It’s All In The Hips

As every dancer knows, in order to maintain stability your entire body has to move dynamically, especially your hips. The hips are the body’s center.

That’s why South Korean robot researchers have been looking into the creation of dynamically stable whole body humanoid robot motions using data captured from the movements of human dancers, and the results are very life-like. Therefore, very soon we will have shows like Dancing with the Bots, where humans will lose every time.
