JingJing And PuiPui Tai Chi Bots

Beijing Institute of Technology has just unveiled two new bots, JingJing and PuiPui. Back in 2003 BIT showed off their predescessors, the BHR-1 and BHR-2 bots, life-sized humanoids that can do tai chi. This new pair of bots still has martial arts abilities, but they also add some conversation.
During the unveiling, the pair answered some questions from the audience:
“What are you?” to which the robot replied,”I am a Humanoid Robot”. When asked if it could think on its own, the robot replied,”My brain is a computer that can think”. Finally, when an old man praised the robot for being funny, it replied,”Thank you. You are too,” which prompted laughter from the crowd.
