Robot Folds Garments, Housewives Get Nervous

This bot’s skills were demonstrated at Siggraph 2009 in New Orleans. Folding a t-shirt may seem like an easy task and this bot does it well, but the point is not the task. It’s all about the knowledge that the researchers gained by successfully executing the project.
Housewives and maids have reason to be nervous. This bot will fold a T-Shirt, undies, frilly lingerie, you name it. The robot even takes pride in it’s work, giving the material a little pat after each fold.
