ECCEROBOT Mimics Your Musculoskeletal SystemHow is this one for a freaky looking, nightmare inducing robot? It’s an anthropomimetic robot developed by a consortium of European robotics labs, the motivation behind the creation is to more accurately copy human internal structure, using thermoplastic polymer for bones, screwdriver motors and shock cord for muscle, and kiteline for tendons. Think of it as a version 2.0 anatomy doll for eggheads to play with.

ECCEROBOT isn’t going to win any beauty contests anytime soon, but scientists hope in the future to use ECCEROBOT’s human-like form to “explore human-like cognitive features,”. Check out the video below.
