WatCleaner Cleans Unwanted Pollution In Water
July 16th, 2009
The IDC, not the I Don’t Care, but rather Japan’s International Design Competition, has given us The WatCleaner prototype, a water bound robot that will clear oil leaks and assorted trash upon and in the water. As shown in the picture, It has many tools that will assist the WatCleaner in it’s mission.
At the size of 500 x 300 x 200 mm, this little robot will be able float on the water, yet it’ll get its work down proficantly. It will dispose of any found trash properly by compressing and storing it in it’s body. It will vacuum the water with the harmfull substance (oil) and filter it, leaving the water as clean as possible. And finally, it will stay clear of wildlife so your little fishies will not be harmed in the process. What we’re hoping is that the engineers have thought of using the trash and oil to fuel the WatCleaner so it isn’t polluting too.
