iRobot Plans To Potty Train The Roomba
Roombas are pretty autonomous and self-sufficient. But not when it comes to cleaning themselves. They just can’t do it. That may change one day soon however. A recently found 2007 patent application filed by iRobot may one day result in an actual product that can make it a big boy, by allowing it to go potty. In a manner of speaking…

The patent shows off a bunch of designs for docks that would suck the dirt out of the bot or replace its dirt cartridge, remove hair from its brushes, and then send it back on its way to clean up the filth that is your life. No word on whether iRobot has had any luck building something based on these designs just yet.
