Netbook-Brained Robots From RoBe
March 10th, 2009
The Coppa and Silvio robots from RoBe have netbook-brains. If they look familiar, that’s because you’ve seen it before. The bots get juice from a 12V rechargeable battery, and can use an autofocus webcam, a sonar system, heat and humidity sensors and servo-driven grabbing actuators to good effect. A single USB port on the netbook connects to all these gadgets, and helps the netbook perform processing functions for the bots.
