Japan’s First Robot Teacher

I got it bad, got it bad, got it bad…got a bot for teacher… The Japanese robot Saya has already been used as a receptionist and secretary. Now they are putting her in a different role.
Now she will become the world’s first robot teacher. Professor Hiroshi Kobayashi has been developing Saya for over 15 years and a primary school in Tokyo will be the first recipients of Saya as a teacher. The robot is multilingual and will do roll call as well as set tasks from text books. I don’t think anybody is going to be hot for this teacher. They will more likely be creeped out to the point that their grades suffer.
