Robotic Exoskeleton Helps Farmers In Japan
January 12th, 2009

We’ve seen robotic suits for paraplegics and the elderly. Now in Japan, there is an exoskeleton for farmers and gardeners. It was made and demonstrated at the Tokyo University of Agriculture.

The robotic exoskeleton weighs 55 pounds and is designed for tilling the soil. It sports eight motors and 16 sensors is equipped to carry its own weight, thereby placing the least amount of weight on the user.

Now no one is too old or frail to garden.
