Last night and this morning as you looked at the internet for hour upon coffee-fueled hour, you likely found yourself gazing at pictures of Natalie “Kommodore” Thompson, aka Android Girl. Natalie gained virtually instant fame (blogosphere fame, at least) when photos began circulating of her freshly inked Android tattoo. I know that Android is Google’s mobile OS and, aside from the superficial connection to robots manifested in the name and logo, has pretty much nothing to do with robots.
But what is life if not a series superficial connections? Natalie thought that this little bot was cute enough to permanently grace her left wrist, and if that doesn’t get your robot motor running, nothing will. Instead of turning into some pretentious pontificator on the ephemeral nature of pseudo-fame in the age of the internet, I will instead reiterate an already thoroughly beaten dead horse of a comment about this story in saying: this girl is kinda cute!!11! I want to see more robot tattoos right now.
